How to Submit a Tape

Any resident of Kaua‘i can submit a tape to be aired on Ho‘ike by following the procedure outlined below. A local presenter responsible for the tape is required for off-island tapes.

  1. Programs must be submitted on VHS or S-VHS tape. The longest acceptable tapes are T-120 for VHS and ST-120 for S-VHS

  2. The tape must begin with at least 30 seconds of black "leader" before the first frame of video

  3. Audio must be recorded in HiFi Stereo or "mix"

  4. Tapes must be accompanied by a completed Video Tape Submission Form. Series programs require one submission form for each tape in the series

  5. Tapes must be labeled properly. Type or print labels legibly and include the following on the spine of the tape

    Program Title of 30 characters or less including spaces

    Leader Length before the first frame of video

    Program Length from the first frame of video to the last frame of video
